From singing in front of urban outfitters at the Santa Monica promenade to this.
You know my obsession with Pusha
Much respect to John West for the hard work. I called it from the beginning...

Rome is Burning
I never thought I would say this but the new Sublime frontman is solid. He'll never be Bradley but I respect all the shit he's doing. Rome is a great singer/songwriter. His melodies are on point. I do think the band should have changed the band name completely though. I would still be listening but I get that the millions of people who are into it just cuz the name Sublime is attached to it, wouldn't be. This is the new song...the hook is beast.

BSBD
Blue Sky Black Death is a band I used to listen to a year ago and I started listening to them again recently. It consists of 2 guys that just produce instrumental music. They collaborated with Yes Alexander in Slow Burning Lights, one of my favorite albums ever. She sang on every track and they produced it. The instrumentals and the voice go perfectly together. This is my favorite track off the album...

New Incubust
When I heard it I thought it was 30 Seconds to Mars. But no. It's brand new Incubus. I'll leave it at that haha. Well no, I'll say some more things...
It's overproduced. There's gotta be over 4 layers on Brandon's vocals. It's ridic. Drums are boring, bass is boring, guitar is boring. Is Kilmore still in the band? The only thing I like is Boyd's melody for the verse. I expected this though, so I wasn't disappointed. I haven't bought an Incubus CD since I spent $11.99 on Crow. Anyone ever spent money on a CD and was forced to listen to it so you didn't feel your money went to waste? That was me. I bought a shampoo/conditioner package for $12. I could've just purchased that and had extra shampoo/conditioner. Ever since Crow disappointed me I've stopped supporting the band that inspired me to write the shit I come up with.
With all that said I'll still dl the CD, still attend the LA show of the tour, and still dl their next CD.
Oh and I gotta do this...
This song is out of sight out of mind...oooooooooOOOOOOOOoooooooo.. got em'

King of Limbskit
I've been listening to the new Radiohead since it came out a couple weeks ago. It wouldn't be fair for me to judge it at first listen because well, it's Radiohead. Like every other one of their albums, this one grew on me. This happens with tons of bands but there's something about their shit. It's frustrating because when I spin the CD for the first time, I can't stand it. It is depressing shit. Especially King of Limbs. I can't understand anything he says and the timing is a mess. But for some reason, 2 weeks later I can't stop listening. So much so that if I'm driving in the early morning or late at night I need it.
To me, every band's dream is to play whatever they want and have millions of people listen. This is an easy thing to say but it is the hardest thing to do as a famous band. Radiohead is living that dream. King Of Limbs is so fucking obscure and phenomenal. Fuck.

PUSHA T
Yessss. Pusha T = 1/2 of Clipse = just released a nasty mixtape
Kanye signed Pusha to his label and his new shit is dopey. Oh and there's some songs that don't mention the word cocaine or any code word for cocaine. Hard to believe, I know. Anyway, these are 3 tracks that stand out to me on the mixtape. Enjoy!

Mumford and Soulless
(fart noise)Uninspiring, (fart noise)mundane, (fart noise)dull. Mumford and Sons is not that good. Stop raving about these Brits. It is mass-produced crap. The debut album lacks heart. You are fooled if you think otherwise. When I listen to Sigh No More I can't relate to any of the themes and the singer gives me the vibe that he can't either. It amazes me that people find this band groundbreaking. They are breaking no ground. All of this has been done, and it has been done naturally (Fleet Foxes). Some big time producer is forcing them to play certain things...
"OK lads! Now were gonna do a loud acoustic build up and then cue the banjo!" "C'mon lads! just like the other songs!"
If you want legit "folk" go get an Avett Brothers or a Low Anthem CD, these are timeless bands. In 2 years Mumford will no longer exist. They will be chewed and spit away by little lion men. (fart noise)
The Dismemberment Plan
Check these dudes out! A lot of indie bands that came up in the 90s and 00s looked up to them. For a reesun...

REKS.
Reks is one of the nastiest rappers in hip-hop today. Now you know. Found out about him in 2008 when he released Grey Hairs. It was my favorite hip-hop album that year and it's definitely in my top 5 in the past 3 years.
This track is off of Grey Hairs (2008). If you like good shit you'll like this. And if anything just listen because of the Primo beat. Classic...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xUBxS5yxGTA
The reason I'm talking about him is cuz he just released a new album and it is ree-dick-luss. This be the first track off it. Primo again...

Dr. Dre is overrated...
Since this is my first post on this sheeet I figured I could start with an opinion that is interesting and a bit controversial. Check it...
Nurse Dre.
Yea N.W.A was nice and original. But the best move Dr. Dre made for his entire career was to listen to that dude from Interscope and sign Eminem to Aftermath. He wouldn't be relevant otherwise.
It is no surprise to anyone that his rapping abilities are worse than Kanye's singing abilities which is pretty bad. It was OK in 86' with the gansta rap movement but he should have just stuck with "producing" after that. Especially since his verses were mostly written by other people.
As far as production goes, in a lot of ways, he is only as good as the people he is working with at the time. If it wasn't for Daz and "friends" The Chronic's sound would have never been molded the way it did. And although Dre got got mad props and I think even won a grammy for his production on 2001, Mel Man's dope beats go completely unnoticed. As far as I'm concerned Mel was the one who made them and Dre just tweaked them. Oh! And if I recall correctly, a little keyboardist by the name of Scott Storch was pretty much discovered after his shit on 2001. Dopest beat on the album? In my opinion it's "Still D.R.E.". How does Dre get any credit for that beat? Mothafuckin Storch on keys! And I know he has a sick bassist that he works constantly with too. As far as "ghost producing" goes he's one of the greatest of all time though.
Don't get me wrong, Dre has an amazing ear for what sounds good but he pretty much gathers a team with amazing individual talent and puts them to work. He does not deserve the amount of praise he gets. This leads me to the reason I'm even talking about him...Detox.
First of all, he hasn't been working on the album since 2003. There is no way you can work on an album for 8 years and put out "I Need a Doctor" as the first studio single. He wrote that 2 days ago. In 2003 hip-hop music was different. This is over-produced garbage. It sounds like it is straight out of a Rihanna or B.O.B album. Those two probably weren't even born in 2003. I'm 99% sure Eminem helped him write his verse on it and it still sucked. He didn't produce either "I Need..." or "Kush". What is he actually doing? I respect him as an entrepreneur and businessman because he will be banking off of Detox just because of the hype. Half of the people that listened to the song only like it because the name Dr. Dre was behind it. Let's be honest with ourselves, the headphones look cool as shit but nurse Dre is just OK.
Don't believe the hype...
